About the Role We are looking for a Remittance Lead to own the design and build of our cross-border remittance proposition across the GCC. You will define the product and operating model, select and onboard MTO rails and banking partners, and put in place the compliance and risk framework needed to launch and scale remittances. The ideal candidate has hands-on remittance experience in the region and is comfortable working in a build-from-scratch environment. Key Responsibilities Product & proposition • Define remittance product scope, corridors, and pricing for the GCC market. • Work with product and tech to design flows for validation, currency conversion, and settlement via MTO rails. • Contribute to integrated offerings where remittance connects to consumer financing. Partnerships & operations • Identify, evaluate, and secure commercial agreements with MTOs and remittance rail providers across priority corridors. • Liaise with banking partners and liquidity providers to ensure adequate funds and efficient execution. • Design and implement reconciliation with MTO rails and internal systems, including handling of failed transactions and discrepancies. • Partner with support and operations to define SLAs and processes for transaction inquiries, disputes, and escalations. P&L & performance • Own the remittance P&L (cost and revenue lines, margins, net performance). • Track FX rates and work with treasury to manage FX exposure in cross-border flows. • Define and monitor KPIs; drive efficiency and cost optimization. • Support financial planning and reporting for remittance as the product scales. Compliance & regulation • Lead licensing and regulatory readiness for remittance in target GCC markets. • Secure approvals and NOCs from SAMA, CBUAE, and other central banks as required. • Work with legal, compliance, and product on regulatory submissions and implementation of regulatory requirements for remittance. Your expertise • Remittance experience in the region (GCC) is required. No specific minimum years; depth and relevance of experience matter more. • Experience in designing or building remittance products, MTO integrations, or cross-border payment operations. • Understanding of financial operations, P&L management, and regulatory landscape for payments and remittances in the GCC. Regulatory knowledge with SAMA and/or CBUAE is a strong plus. • Experience with partner management and commercial negotiations (MTOs, banks, liquidity providers). • Strong analytical skills; able to set KPIs, optimize processes, and use data to drive decisions. • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications in compliance or fintech are a plus. • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Arabic is not required but may be useful.
